The Objects are for the advancement of the heritage of wooden boat building, and the cultural heritage of the people who built and used them in the Lough Erne area ("the area of benefit") through the restoration, preservation and promotion of the skills and crafts used in their construction, maintenance and use and to advance the education of the public through displays, exhibitions and maintenance of an archive documenting the same.
