Charitable purposes

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Kilcooley area and its environs (the area of benefit) without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, race,ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion by associating with the community and voluntary organisations, statutory authorities and inhabitants in a common effort to: (1) provide a community garden, allotments and other facilities and amenities: - in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for all said inhabitants - to advance the education of the public by encouraging their participation in gardening projects and to raise awareness of the health benefits of taking part in gardening - to advance active citizenship and community development by providing resources, facilities and amenities for individuals and community and voluntary organisations - to promote social cohesion, good community relations, religious and racial harmony and equality and diversity - to relieve those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health (including the with mental health problems), disability or other disadvantage - to provide opportunities for training and work experience - to facilitate programmes that help prevent anti-social behaviour and crime,and; - for the benefit and enjoyment of the local community (2) promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined
