Charitable purposes

The Association is established for the relief of poverty of members of the Polish community (hereinafter called the beneficiaries) who are resident in Northern Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "the area of benefit") by providing such persons with free and confidential advice, assistance, representation, counselling, translating and interpreting services in matters such as immigration, education, training and employment, promoting bilingualism and the benefits of diversity by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said beneficiaries and in particular: a) to maintain and manage or co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance of a centre or centres in the area of benefit for activities promoted by the association (hereinafter called "the Centre"). b) to promote the benefit of children and young people within the area of benefit through the provision of educational and recreational activities.
