Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the following:- To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Northern Ireland ( the “area of benefit”) without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary and community organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to: (a) advance community development by providing facilities and amenities for, and support and assistance to, community and voluntary groups and organisations (b) advance health and well-being; (c) prevention and relieve poverty; (d) prevent or relief of poverty (e) advance education; (f) provide relief to those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage; (g) Advance community arts, culture and heritage; (h) Advance community conflict and promote peace and reconciliation (i) Advance environmental protection or improvement (j) Provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said residents (k) promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
