Purposes and classifications

Charitable purposes

(1) Advance health and wellbeing in particular to the mental health of pregnant women, parents and their support networks by, but not exclusively, the provision of peer support, signposting to resources and practical support during pregnancy and throughout the parental journey. (2) Advance health and wellbeing particular to the mental health of health professionals, volunteers and other related professions who are supporting parents with mental ill health (3) Advance the health and wellbeing of new parents expecting a child or in the postnatal period by, but not exclusively, reducing loneliness and isolation by connecting parents with others in networks and support groups. (4) Advance the education of the public including women, parents and healthcare professionals in mental health by, but not exclusively, the provision of up to date, evidence-based information to enable parents and their supporters, including health professionals to find treatment and support for mental illness. This will also include awareness raising events and activities. (5) To campaign for better mental health services through, but not exclusively, events, workshops and campaign activities. (6) To provide training and workshops for, but not exclusively, peer supporters, healthcare professionals and other interested parties in protecting, supporting and treating the mental health of parents struggling with mental illness.
