Charitable purposes
2.1 The purpose of Ballynure and District Community Association is to make the community of Ballynure a better place to live, insofar as it is charitable according to the law of Northern Ireland. We seek to do this by: • advancing citizenship and community development by building community spirit, cohesion and participation; • creating a community for all where cultural diversity and multi-generational participation is welcomed and all events are fully accessible; • promoting health and wellbeing though education and awareness raising; • preserving and improving the natural habitat, biodiversity and built environment • promoting the arts; • documenting, preserving, and making local heritage accessible; • improving the skills and capacity of BDCA members through external support and training; and • building networks with other community groups and external agencies.
