Charitable purposes

The Association's charitable purposes are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the area and its environs (the "area of benefit"), without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion and specifically to: (1) Promote community development and citizenship by all or any of the following means: providing facilities for and organising community and family events in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisuretime occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants; (ii) providing facilities, amenities and support to community and voluntary groups and organisations; (iii) facilitating improvements in housing, the environment and community safety; (iv) advancing active citizenship and volunteering in the community; (v) fostering a sense of community by encouraging and celebrating a sense of place and civic pride. (2) Relieve those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health or other disadvantage. (3) Advance education for the public benefit by organising and/or delivering playgroup and afterschools services. (4) Promote good community relations, social inclusion and cohesion, religious and racial harmony and equality and diversity.
