Charitable purposes

From and after the date of this Scheme, and subject to the conditions and provisions herein contained, and subject to any special trusts or conditions upon which any part thereof may be received the Endowments and all other property vested in the Board, and available for the educational purposes of this Scheme, shall be held by the Board upon trust:- (a) To receive, hold and apply the Endowments for Elementary Education in or towards the support or aid of Elementary Schools, in the Diocese, for the education pupils, male and female, in the manner and subject to the conditions and provisions herein contained. (b) To receive, hold and apply the Endowments for Intermediate Education in or towards the support or aid of an Intermediate School or of Intermediate Schools in the Diocese, for the education of male pupils or of female pupils, or of both, in the manner and subject to the conditions and provisions herein contained. (c) To promote and encourage, in the Diocese, so far as the Endowments, after making due provision for Elementary and Intermediate Education, will admit the Technical Education of the pupils of the Schools. (d) To promote and encourage, in the Diocese, so far as any Endowments or funds contributed for that purpose will admit, the Religious Education of pupils belonging to the said Church. (e) The Board shall apply all the Endowments for Elementary Education of or belonging to the Elementary Schools in each Parish and District, to the maintenance or aid of Schools in such Parish or District, or otherwise for the educational benefit of pupils belonging to the same, so long as the Board shall be of opinion that such Endowments can be beneficially so applied. If and whenever the Board shall report to the Diocesan Synod that any of the said Endowments cannot be beneficially applied as aforesaid, the Diocesan Synod shall direct that the same shall be applied elsewhere , or to other purposes of this Scheme, in accordance with the provisions hereof.
