Charitable purposes

The Association is established for the relief of disability and to advance the education of persons who are deaf or hard of hearing (hereinafter call "the beneficiaries") in Northern Ireland (the "area of benefit") through their leisure time activities by the provision, or assisting in the provision, of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation and also: a) to educate and assist the beneficiaries through recreational activities in particular developing skills so as to develop their physical fitness, mental and emotional capacities and to encourage and facilitate beneficiaries to compete at local, national and international competitions, and to facilitate beneficiaries from other regions to competitions within the area of benefit. b) to provide or assist in the provision of training and coaching opportunities for the benefit of deaf or hard of hearing people in the area of benefit. c) to provide or assist in the provision of practical assistance and financial aid to support the work of member clubs. d) to advance any other exclusively charitable purpose as the committee may, from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of charity.
