Charitable purposes
2.0 Objects The Association is established: 2.1 To provide and assist in the provision of facilities and services primarily for the benefit of the community, visitors to and the residents of Lisburn and its environs (hereinafter described as “the area of benefit”) without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to provide and advance the facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation, sport or other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants; 2.1.1 To advance sport by maintaining the facilities at Stanley Park to promote participation in amateur sport in Lisburn through the maintenance of sport and recreation facilities. 2.1.2 To establish or to secure the establishment of a Community Hub (hereinafter called 'the Hub') and to maintain it and to manage to co-operate with any local statutory authority (Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council as landlords) in the maintenance and management of such a Hub for activities promoted by the Association and its constituent bodies in furtherance of the above objects. 2.2 Provide or secure the provision for health and mental wellbeing, educational and recreational facilities, and practical assistance for elderly and disabled people, within the area of benefit;
