Charitable purposes
The Foundation is established to raise funds for vital research into the causation of cervical cancer. This will be carried out by a team of medical experts at Queens University Belfast. The University Researchers will carry out vital research into the following: 1. HPV Vaccination. Researchers at Queens University Belfast plan to investigate the amount of knowledge and awareness of HPV amongst women in Northern Ireland to help inform how cervical cancer screening is promoted and to ensure that women do attend cervical cancer screening. The team also plan to re-investigate the prevalence of HPV in women in Northern Ireland in light of the changes anticipated as a result of HPV Vaccination. 2. to reduce the number of women being diagnosed with cervical cancer in Northern Ireland.
