Purposes and classifications
Charitable purposes
2.1 The trust is established for charitable purposes only, specifically the advancement of health or saving of lives, the advancement of education, the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability or other disadvantage, and the advancement of community development. 2.2 Such purposes must be carried out exclusively in a manner that is beneficial to the public and is recognised by the law of Northern Ireland as being charitable. 2.3 The Trust shall participate only in initiatives that are reasonably conducive to the realisation of the above mentioned purposes, such initiatives including (but not limited to): (i) The provision of health care on a non profit basis; (ii) The promotion of or carrying out of medical or other research; (iii) The establishment and improvement of education and training programmes; (iv) The promotion and provision of community services. (v) Any other activity considered by the Trust to be for the public benefit and reasonably conducive to the attainment of the charitable objects of the Trust.
