Charitable purposes

Advancement of Education This charitable trust is created for the purpose of helping young people who wish to advance their education for the public benefit but do not have the financial means to do so as they are living in poverty or do not have access to education or training. This purpose will be achieved by making grants, awards and providing a space for young people to go to receive support, advice and training in the community. Advancement of Religion This charitable trust will promote Christianity both in Northern Ireland and throughout the world. This purpose will be achieved by financial assistance to the local Presbyterian church and the Presbyterian church in South Africa. The financial support will assist in providing the church leaders to have a place to live and a building for the church to use for group prayer meetings and gatherings that will promote the Christian faith. Relief of Poverty The final purpose of this charitable trust is to help relieve poverty for the people of South Africa and throughout the world by providing grants to individuals in need and or charities and other organisations including church groups or missions that are working to prevent or relieve poverty in South Africa. A further purpose will be to relieve the poverty of young people by the provision of grants to enable them to participate in healthy recreational activities that they could not otherwise afford.
