OBJECTS (4) The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the following: (4.1) To advance education in horticulture and environmental protection by the provision of education programmes for residents in Newtownards and training and vocational opportunities to enhance skills and understanding in horticulture and allied skills, primarily but not exclusively of individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. (4.2) To promote and protect the mental and physical health of individuals within the Newtownards area through the provision of therapeutic horticulture, education, recreation and other charitable activities. (4.3) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation by providing an area for use as a community garden and other community spaces and activities for individuals in Newtownards who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving their conditions of life.
