Charitable purposes

To promote social inclusion and relieve the needs of the members of the Nepalese community living in Northern Ireland (‘the beneficiaries’) and assist them to integrate into society in Northern Ireland by providing English language classes, advice, support, and advocacy and by any other charitable means as the Trustees shall consider appropriate; To preserve and promote Nepalese culture by the provision of Nepalese language classes, the organisation and celebration of Nepalese festivals and other cultural events and traditions and encourage appreciation by the general public in Northern Ireland in all matters relating to Nepalese culture in an effort to promote diversity and racial harmony; For the relief and assistance of people in Nepal who are suffering hardship as a result of natural disaster or who by reason of their social and economic conditions are in need of assistance through the provision of financial assistance, advocacy and by any other charitable means as the Trustees shall consider appropriate; To relieve the financial distress or hardship of Nepalese bereaved families resident in Northern Ireland who are repatriating the body of a loved one back to Nepal under such rules as may be laid down by the Trustees for the granting of financial help.
