Charitable purposes

To promote the benefit of the people of Falls Road and its environs in West Belfast (the area of benefit), without distinction of age, sex, race, political or religious or other opinions, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations, institutions, business and the people of the community in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for the protection and preservation of health, recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving conditions of life for the people and to undertake all or any objects for the benefit of the community which now or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable. (4.2) To advance community development, in particular, but not exclusively by: (a) the management of a multi-use community hub providing a range of facilities and space to meet the educational, societal, recreational and cultural needs of the community: (b) promoting and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of charities, voluntary and community groups by the provision and management for such organisations of office accommodation, conference, training and other facilities, services, or support and by any other means as the directors shall consider appropriate. (4.3) The promotion for the benefit of the public of urban regeneration in the area of benefit by any of the following means: (a) preserve buildings which are of historic importance; (b) the creation of training and employment opportunities by the provision of workspace and/or buildings; (c) the advancement of education, training or retraining, particularly among unemployed people. (4.4) To promote the heritage of the area by the provision of an exhibition space showcasing various aspects of local history and by any other means as the directors shall consider appropriate.
