Charitable purposes

The association exists to provide programmes, services, and opportunities for the benefit of the wider community of Markethill. In particular, the association places particular emphasis on the delivery of services toward children and young people, the elderly, the alleviation of poverty and those with mental health needs. As such, the association aims to: Provide a safe environment where children and young people (4-25 years old) can personally and socially develop, learn skills, challenge their values and beliefs and work towards the acceptance and understanding of others. Provide a safe environment where members of the elderly community can feel valued, empowered and that their wellbeing is a key priority of the association. Provide a range of practical services and outreach opportunities that will benefit those in physical and emotional need within the Markethill area. This may also include learning and developmental opportunities. Establish counselling, mentoring and other support services for those living within the Markethill area who present for help with identifiable mental health needs or those associated to addiction(s). Provide all services in a professional manner that recognises appropriate good practice in relation to children, young people, and vulnerable members of the community. This includes meeting all required and statutory standards for the delivery of counselling services.
