4. The Company`s objects are specifically restricted to the advancement of education, the relief of poverty, improve physical and mental health, help older people cope with changing circumstances arising from their age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, undertake outreach work on behalf of Muckamore Parish Church of Ireland and the promotion of general charitable purposes for the benefit of the inhabitants of Muckamore and the wider Antrim and Newtownabbey Council area.( herein called “ the Beneficiaries “ ) , of Muckamore area and the wider Antrim and Newtownabbey Council area, Northern Ireland ( hereinafter described as the “area of benefit” ) without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of fostering a community spirit and improving the conditions of life for the benefit of the inhabitants and in particular to ; (a) To promote or assist in the promotion, facilitation and organisation of community capacity building programmes and projects for the benefit of the inhabitants within the area of benefit who have need of such assistance as a result of their youth, age, disability or infirmity, or social and economic circumstances, in an effort to increase the abilities, skills and self-confidence of such inhabitants and in an effort to promote community relations and community involvement; (b) the provision, maintenance and management of community facilities for the use of the inhabitants for activities promoted or facilitated by the Company including use for meetings, lectures, classes and other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants; (c) To educate and assist the beneficiaries, and in particular but not exclusively children and young aged between 3 and 18 through their leisure-time activities so as to develop their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and so that their conditions of life may be improved; (d) To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for the education, recreation and leisure-time occupation of senior citizens who by reason of social or economic circumstances have need of such facilities; (e) To advance any other exclusively charitable purpose as the Directors, may from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of charity.
