Charitable purposes

To advance in life, relieve the needs of and help disabled people and in particular (but without limitation) those affected by disability, illness, mental health problems, social exclusion, low self-esteem or other disadvantages or difficulties (but not limited to) by: (a) improving the abilities of people with physical disabilities for the benefit of their health and wellbeing through sporting endeavours in particular the sport of surfing enabling greater involvement in the wider community; (b) increase the use of outdoor surfing amongst the disabled community and older generation by helping to reduce physical and mental barriers to participation through the use of specialised surf equipment and through adaptations / specialised staff and trained volunteers; (c) encourage inter-generational activities across the community by offering surfing training and support thus helping remove the economic and financial barriers to participation; (d) the provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interests of social welfare, to improve their conditions of life and promote inclusion and celebrating diversity for all within the community regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, class and sexual orientation; (e) the advancement of their education and the development of their skills, capabilities and confidence; and (f) the advancement of education and community development through increased environmental improvements and conservation by educating, encouraging and assisting the local population to minimise our impact on the environment and promote sustainability and conservation of our environment, particularly our local marine protected areas, working in partnership with similar disability groups and organisations.
