Charitable purposes

4.1.1 to promote community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the general public through the advancement of amateur Boating; 4.1.2 to increase the participation in amateur Boating through the education and training of children and young people by such means as the Members think fit and according to the laws applicable in Northern Ireland; 4.1.3 to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of individuals through Boating, and through such means as the Members think fit according to the laws applicable in Northern Ireland; 4.1.4 to provide to Members of the Charity services, advice and assistance in connection with Boating and to represent and protect the Boating interests of Members of the Charity in Northern Ireland insofar as is charitable; 4.1.5 to provide a channel of communication between Members of the Charity and the RYA in connection with Boating and insofar as is charitable; and 4.1.6 to do all other things that are incidental or conducive to the attainment or and/or promotion of such other charitable purposes through such means as the Members think fit and according to the laws applicable in Northern Ireland. Nothing in the articles will authorise an application of the property of the Charity for purposes, which are not charitable in accordance with section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
