Charitable purposes

4. OBJECTS 4.1. The Charity’s Objects are specifically restricted to the following: 4.1.1. to explore, express, enjoy and engage with the tenets and theology of the Christian faith, primarily though an intentional community gathering currently know as St Christopher’s; and seek to be inclusive, creative, progressive, outward-focused and hospitable, welcoming, caring form and offering support to all within our community and beyond; 4.1.2. to relieve poverty, hunger and financial hardship and promote and preserve good health and wellbeing of those in need by: 4.1.2.1. provision of emergency food supplies; and 4.1.2.2. advocating on their behalf to ensure they receive and access support they need from statutory bodies and other agencies; 4.1.3. to increase community capacity through working with local residents and other organisations in promoting, providing and facilitating community capacity building and community development programmes and projects, to enhance the abilities, skills and self-confidence of individuals in need and the wider community to allow them to reach their full potential; and 4.1.4. to promote social inclusion and decrease isolation through working in partnership and engaging with the community and other organisations in the provision of community events and activities with the aim of brining the community together. Nothing in the articles shall authorise an application of the property of the Charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with s.2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
