Charitable purposes
The purposes of the Belfast Bands Forum are: a) The advancement of arts, culture and heritage, in particular the musical and cultural traditions associated with bands in Belfast; b) The advancement of education, by providing music tuition, leadership training, personal development, and skills-based learning for children, young people and adults; c) The advancement of citizenship and community development, by promoting good relations, community cohesion, equality of opportunity and positive engagement across communities; d) The advancement of health, in particular mental health and wellbeing, through awareness programmes, peer support and partnership working; e) The relief of need and disadvantage, where appropriate, by supporting young people and individuals facing social, educational or economic disadvantage through structured programmes and opportunities. All purposes shall be carried out for the public benefit within Belfast and surrounding areas.”
