Charitable purposes

Purposes / Objects The objects of the Company are, for the public benefit, to carry out its activities in Northern Ireland and elsewhere in the United Kingdom and in the Republic of Ireland, and in particular: 3.1 To relieve the needs of, and promote the welfare of, individuals and families who are bereaved or otherwise affected by sudden, suspicious, unexplained, violent, or domestic-abuse-linked deaths, by providing practical support, information, advocacy, signposting, and case support. 3.2 To advance health, in particular mental health and trauma recovery, for individuals and families affected by bereavement, abuse, and associated trauma, by providing or facilitating trauma-informed support, education, and wellbeing interventions. 3.3 To advance education by developing and delivering training, guidance, and resources for the public and for professionals (including those working in policing, health, social care and related services) in relation to trauma-informed practice, safeguarding, domestic abuse and coercive control, and best practice responses to bereaved families. 3.4 To promote human rights, equality and good citizenship by promoting informed public awareness and evidence-based improvements in policy, practice and systems affecting bereaved families and those impacted by domestic abuse, including through research, campaigning, and engagement with relevant agencies and decision-makers.
