Constitutional objectives

The Trustees shall hold and apply the Trust Fund for such purposes as are embraced within the meaning of the word 'charitable' according to Scots Law and as the Trustees may within the group of such charitable purposes select from time to time and providing always but without prejudice to that generality and without imposing any moral or other obligation on my Trustees or in any way fettering the sole and absolute discretion which they have for application of the Trust Fund I record for the information of my Trustees that I am particularly interested in the 'Abbeyfield' movement and that the prime use to which I would like to see the Fund used, both as to capital and income, is for the furtherance of that movement in Dunfermline by the provision of 'Abbeyfield' type of accommodation and facilities for the relief and care of elderly persons of all classes suffering from the disabilities of old age or otherwise being in need including the provision of residential accommodation by building, converting, renovating and improving property as also the provision of furniture, furnishings and equipment therefor, and in particular the application of the Fund to any enterprise of the aforementioned Abbeyfield Dunfermline Society Limited.
