02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
It exists to glorify God and to work for the advancement of Christ's Kingdom throughout the world. As a national Church, it acknowledges a distinctive call and duty to bring the ordinances of religion to the people in every parish of Scotland through a territorial ministry. It co-operates with other Churches in various ecumenical bodies in Scotland and beyond. Services of Worship are held every Sunday in Crosshill, Maybole and Kirkoswald throughout the year. During the summer months a Breakfast Church service is held in Maidens hall. Two Communion services held in each place of worship and all were made welcome. Watch night services on Christmas eve were held in all three churches. Outreach in the community is done by social events to raise money and donations for other charities eg Crossreach, Erskine, Food Bank etc. Many of our members volunteer their time with other social groups.
