02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
This should detail the kind of activities which the charity routinely takes to meet its objectives. During the year, the club held very active summer and winter syllabuses which included a New Members Night, Bowling Night, Golf, Netball and Football Practices. Hockey Practices with Stewartry YFC. Tug of War Taster Session and practice nights. Dairy Stockjudging, Handicrafts Demo Night and Rally Practices. Fat Lamb Competition with Annandale YFC. Mock Auction, Charity Bingo Night, Car Treasure Hunt, Beef, dairy and lamb Dressing Practices, Speechmaking training, Concert Practices, Talent Spot Practices. Charity Tractor Run in aid of Sands, Christmas Quiz, Christmas Meal. Wreathmaking Workshop, Games Night, Dinner Dance, Beef and Sheep Stockjudging. Charity Coffee Morning and various events for our 80th Anniversary, including a Fun Day and ceilidh.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Club shall be: • To advance the education and training of young people at large in rural issues, agriculture, homecrafts and related subject • To advance the development of active citizens through development off individuals involvement within their local community and leadership of their Young Farmer Group. • In the interests of social welfare of young people in rural Scotland provide and promote the provision of activities for recreation and other leisure time occupations which will improve their conditions of life and will assist in the development of their spiritual and mental capacities and self reliance and individual responsibility.
