02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The charity has two separate functions. Firstly, it holds funds which are paid as grants to help solicitors or retired solicitors or people related to them and who are in financial difficulty. Secondly, the charity receives a sum each year (currently £7500) from the Tod Foundation - a separate charity - which it uses to give grants to help solicitors in need of respite and want to use the grant to fund a holiday or break which must be in Scotland.

Constitutional objectives
