Constitutional objectives
The Trust Fund shall be held for the following charitable purposes:- (One): For the preservation, conservation, maintenance, upholding and improvement of Delgatie castle and Policies and Delgatie Home Farm in the County of Aberdeen for the benefit, enjoyment and cultural advancement of the public and the advancement of education, including research into the architecture and history of the buildings and lands and the natural history of the area. (Two) For the provision of access to the castle and Policies by members of the public for the purpose of improving their education and knowledge of historic buildings. (Three): For the provision of access to the castle Policies and grounds to members of the public to provide facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare. (Four): (a) For the relief of poverty among persons of the surname Hay or born with the surname Hay who are in necessitous circumstances and (b) For the advancement of education among persons of that name by the provision of scholarships, grants or loans.
