To further and promote the interest and education of the public in its industrial heritage by the preservation, restoration and display of stearn locomotives , railway equipment i n general and other associated miscellaneous arti facts and to this end to acquire by lease or purchase or whatsoever appropriate means stearn locomotives and railway equipment in general in order to restore, preserve and operate the aforementioned and to use the income so derived t o ensure t h e continuation and consolidation of the g roup in its endeavours so to restore and preserve and for no other purpose whatsoever.
