To safeguard the built and cultural environment of the village. Monitoring Planning Applications and liaising with the Local Authority.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Society shall be to promote and encourage the following objects by charitable means, but not otherwise. (a) To stimulate public interest in, and care for, the beauty, history and character of the area of the village and its surroundings (b) To encourage the preservation, development and improvement of features of general public amenity or historic interest (c) To encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in Kilbarchan (d) To pursue these ends for example by means of meetings, exhibitions, lectures, publications, conferences and publicity, and the promotion of schemes of a charitable nature (e) To keep watch on the affairs of the village and to promote locally the public interest
