02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Charity is setup to provide a Village Hall to the community so that they have a modern, safe, and secure facility to host events and meetings. Over the winter months the hall provides a dry and warm location for the local sporting groups. We fundraise to cover the running costs of the village hall and to maintain the grounds around the village which unfortunately the local council no longer undertake. Our fundraising serves a dual purpose: not only do we raise money to support the reserves and cover essential costs, but we also strive to create enjoyable events that the local community can take part in. These gatherings offer a social hub for villagers, fostering connection and a sense of togetherness. Each summer the charity hosts a vibrant three-day Gala for the local community, culminating in a spectacular showground event. This grand finale brings together local groups and visitors, offering a lively mix of entertainment and festivities for all to enjoy.
