02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To provide a physical space and facilities for the villagers of Blebocraigs near Cupar in Fife. The Village Hall is used for activities addressing the physical, social and emotional needs of those within our Community and the surrounding area. These include Pilates and Yoga sessions whilst educational activities include Shakespeare classes and periodic lectures. Social events for the benefit of the Community include theatre productions, apple pressing, film nights, games evenings (aimed at the younger members) and annual participation in the Scottish Open Gardens Scheme. During the winter months, a series of 'Soup Lunches' cater for the older members of the village in particular those who live alone. The proceeds of these lunches have hitherto been gifted to the local food bank for those in need.
