02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our Charity is set up to provide services for Socially Isolated Older People, Disabled Older People, Dementia sufferers and Carers of our service users. We provide a Club for Socially Isolated Older People and Disabled Older People one day per week to combat isolation and loneliness.. We provide a Day Care Service for Dementia sufferers one day per week, which helps with mental stimulation and provide activities to help with mobility. We also provide a Welfare Advice and Information service to enable service users and their carers to gain access to the benefits system by checking if they are able to receive benefits to help them in their daily life. Throughout the year we provide activities for older people in our area, e.g. outings. The Coordinator also provides a Home Visiting service for older people in the local Community.
