02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To provide day care services for socially isolated older people and disabled older people, we provide a Club once per week on Tuesdays to enable us to do this. To provide day care for Dementia sufferers and to give their carers much needed free time, we provide a day care services on Thursdays so that Dementia sufferers can receive stimulation, mentally and physically, to enhance their quality of life. The carers receive much needed free time from their roles as carers and know that their family members is being well looked after. To provide activities and event throughout the year to enable older people of our area to help stimulate and help people to socialise. We aim to provide a Burn's Afternoon for all older people of the area and to provide outings throughout the year when funds are available. We also provide an Advice and Information service for our service users and carers to enable them to receive benefits to help them to live a good quality life.
