What the charity exists to do

The charity’s objective is to promote the advancement of education and to provide facilities for recreation and leisure for the benefit of those living in the Newtonhill area, in order to improve lives. To meet this objective the main activity is the maintenance and management of a community hall.

Constitutional objectives

The objects of the association shall be: (a) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Newtonhill and environs without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by associating with voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. (b) To secure the establishment, maintenance and management of a community hall for activities promoted by the association in furtherance of the above objects, or any of them. The association shall be non-party in politics and non-sectarian in religion.
