The Trust's income is for any type of necessitous case in Canonbie and the main activity is to provide grants to organisations and individuals

Constitutional objectives

I direct my Trustees to realise the rest, residue and remainder of my said estate and to pay the same to The Reverend Andrew Welsh Farms, Minister of the Parish Church at Canonbie, to Doctor William Robert Colston Lang, Medical Practitioner in Canonbie and to Sidney Steenson Hope the Headmaster of the Public School in Canonbie for the time being respectively and their successors in office as such Minister, Doctor and Headmaster who shall hold the said residue in trust for the relief of any type of necessitous case in Canonbie which they in their sole discretion shall deem worthy of relieving.
