02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
It exists to serve and glorify God and work for the advancement of Christ's Kingdom throughout the world. We celebrate Communion regularly during each year and provide a Civic Service of Remembrance annually. We are the City Church of Dundee and host regular civic Services and Services to the local Guildry Incorporation. Our weekly Service is relayed on the internet and to local hospitals. We have links with both Universities in Dundee and offer some of their Students interaction with our Congregation through membership of our Choir. We support the local Foodbank and have a close relationship with the High School of Dundee hosting their Choral Concerts, Assemblies and Services. Our Organist and Choirmaster offers organ tuition with one scholar currently being taught. We interact socially with visitors through our weekly Sunday Coffee Bar and Coffee and Chat mornings during the week. Our Outlook group delivers parcels to the ill and housebound particularly at Xmas.
