02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity as a church is set up to advance the Kingdom of God, provide witness and opportunities to worship God with the intention of bringing glory to God and seek to help people come to belief and faith in God and our Lord Jesus Christ. We do this by witness in our local community in a host of ways. We conduct regular worship services in two church buildings and our church plant Sanctuary. We provide pastoral care through visitation and ministry to our local schools. We run 2 outreach cafes, providing warm safe spaces and companionship to attendees, a community fridge and a number of hot meals to people and families who are struggling. A range of stand alone community events take place and we have an active Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade, Junior Church, a summer Holiday Club, regular Alpha courses a 'Guild' with over 50 members. We also work closely with other churches both within and out with the parish to advance the Kingdom of God in our community.
