02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
In addition to holding weekly services of Worship, we act as a community hub in some respects offering music concerts and recitals. We hire our halls and facilities to others in order to generate income to support our Mission objectives. We run some groups to provide services (e.g. Baby & Toddler Group) and fellowship ( Bible Study, Celebrating Age Project, Craft Group) and organise collections on behalf of others (e.g. Mulanje Mission Hospital, Malawi. Christian Aid. Mary's Meals. Fresh Start. The Yard. Edinburgh Women's Shelter. Bethany Christian Trust). The Church is run by a Kirk Session comprising a number of Charity Trustees who meet 10 times per year, and additionally in extraordinary meeting if necessary.
