02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Provides grants to institutions mentioned in the Wills of the late Miss Elizabeth Nairn, Miss Mary Nairn and Miss Margaret Nairn. The Trustees have discretion to add to the list of institutions originally set out.

Constitutional objectives
After fulfilment of the forgoing purposes I direct my Trustees to continue to hold the residue of my estate in their own names and to divide the income received therefrom at such times and in such proportions as they in their sole discretion consider proper to and amongst the following Institutions, videlicet:- (1) Princess Louise Scottish Hospital for Limbless Sailors and Soldiers, Erskine House, Bishopton. (2) The Scottish National Institution for the War Blind, Newington House, Edinburgh. (3) The Orphan Homes of Scotland, Bridge-of-Weir, Renfrewshire. (4) The Church of Scotland for the benefit of their Eventide Homes. (5) British Empire Cancer Campaign, Eleven Grosvenor Crescent, London, S.W.I. and (6) East Park Homes for Infirm Children, Maryhill, Glasgow. with full power to my Trustees at any time add to said charitable Institutions if they consider this advisable.
