(IN THE LAST PLACE) On the death of my brother, the said Alexander Mitchell Mathieson should he survive me, or on my own death should he predecease me, I direct my Trustees to hold the residue of the Trust Estate and apply the free annual income thereof for the benefit of apinster ladies and widows who are in straightened circumstances and who my Trustees may consider in need of financial help and who have been resident within the Burgh of Cumnock and Holmhead for a period of not less than three years immediately preceding the date of the making of said benefit.
