What the charity exists to do

The purpose of the Trust is to preserve the Cabrach Church in good condition and to prevent it, as far as possible, from falling into disrepair.

Constitutional objectives

Being desirous of preserving and maintain the Upper Cabrach Church...the fund shall be held by the Trustees in trust always for the following purposes and on the terms and conditions herein set forth:- ... (SECOND) for the purchase of the Upper Cabrach Church and land pertaining thereto (hereinafter referred to as “the Church”). (THIRD) to maintain the Church in as good condition as possible which will depend on the funds which are available to the Trustees and with this end in view to expend the income from the Fund (after allowing for or paying the expenses above mentioned) and such part or the whole of the capital thereof as the Trustees in their sole discretion deem it advisable so to do, on the upkeep and maintenance of the Church and/or the fitting and fixtures therein and the pertinents thereof it being the purpose of the Trust hereby created to preserve the Church and to prevent it as far as possible from falling into disrepair. (FOURTH) to pay the insurance premiums necessary to keep the Church insured against fire and such other risks and for such amounts as the Trustees in their sole discretion may decide and in the event of the Church being destroyed or damaged by fire or other risks insured against to use any sum recovered from the Insurance Company in rebuilding the Church or in repairing the damage done.
