What the charity exists to do
To promote the interests of the residents of New Lanark and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for the said residents.

Constitutional objectives
a) to promote the benefits of the residents of New Lanark, without distinction of political, religious or opinions, by associating the Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations and residents in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with object of improving the conditions of life for the said residents. b) to hold the tenancy, and ensure the maintenance and management of the New Lanark Village Hall (hereinafter called the Hall) for activities promoted by the Group in furtherance of the above objects, or any of them. c) to seek to improve and maintain the environment of New Lanark. d) to represent the interest of the residents in the future improvement and management of the village.
