Constitutional objectives
The objects for which the Company is established are:- the prevention or relief of poverty, to support and help and accommodate people who are at risk of or experiencing or recovering from homelessness through the provision of housing, support to maintain tenancies, support to people with no recourse to public funds, and the provision of information and advice. the advancement of health, by alleviating the causes and effects of homelessness and the resultant health inequalities and harms, through the provision of support alone or in conjunction with others to people who are at risk of, experiencing or recovering from homelessness or in other ways disadvantaged and vulnerable to maintain their health and wellbeing, particularly addressing and reducing the harm of addictions and supporting people through transitions between statutory care and the community. relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, addiction, financial hardship or other disadvantage by promoting and/or delivery of services, alone or in conjunction with others, that provide support and recovery oriented care through housing, supported accommodation, advice, practical assistance and opportunity to improve their circumstances. the advancement of citizenship or community development by the promotion and/or delivery, alone or in conjunction with others, of learning and employability opportunities enabling people who are homeless or in other ways disadvantaged and vulnerable to be socially included and economically contribute to civic life. and the advancement of education in the community by promoting and/or delivery of services, alone or in conjunction with others, that assist people who are homeless or in other ways disadvantaged and vulnerable with literacy, numeracy, life skills, work skills and social activities by raising awareness of and educating people on the issues surrounding homelessness through our national programmes and agendas.
