02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Weare a centre of Christian worship and teaching of the faith in the midst of one of the most deprived parishes in the country. We hold worship services every Sunday with Bible study during the week. There are groups catering for the needs of the members of the congregation such as Sunday School, Bible study groups, Pastoral care, Care Home services, social activities, Youth outreach group, Monday exercise group, Recycled Teenagers for the elderly, Hobbies club, local school learning hub, Good as new charity shop, Friday free meals with a community chest collecting food for the destitute referred to us by the medical centre. We host a number of charitable organisations- Alcoholics Anonymous one of which is Iranian, five Cocaine Anonymous, two Narcotics groups a Rape Crisis drop in, North West recovery Cafe, See the person for adults with learning needs, Hospitals and Institutions for the rehabilitation of addicts, Kinship Carers, Chair Yoga, Citizen's Advice and sound bath meditat
