What the charity exists to do
Encourage learning and performance of Scottish traditional music primarily on violin for children and adults. This is achieved by holding regular practice sessions, taking part in music festival competitions and public performances.

Constitutional objectives
The advancement of education by the cultivation and improvement of public taste in traditional Scottish music, especially Highland Strathspeys and Reels and by the preservation of the skills required to perform the same. In order to achieve this object, the society may perform this music in private and in public and may do all things necessary, and desirable for the attainment of this object.
