02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Stewarton United Reformed Church is an unincorporated association established in terms of the United Reformed Church Act 2000 and is a registered Scottish Charity. The congregation have the right to call a minister or lay reader. The congregation also elects and ordains the deacons. The congregation worships at 10.30am each Sunday at 22 Lainshaw Street with other public services being held on special occasions

Constitutional objectives
The Church shall be called Stewarton United Reformed Church. The Church?s members believe that every United Reformed Church is a covenant fellowship of Christian people in which the preaching of the word of God and the administration of the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism are the principal means of Grace.
