02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
St Vincent's Centre for the Deaf is set up to support deaf people and improve their wellbeing, social inclusion and quality of life. We provide a welcoming and accessible environment where deaf people can meet, socalise and take part in activities and events. We organise regular meetings and sessions, provide opportunities for communication and social interaction, and support members to take part in wider community, We work with local organisations and services where appropriate and hire suitable community facilities to deliver our activities. The charity is run by volunteers who work together to support the needs and interests of deaf people in our local community
