02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Charity's objects are to provide day care for dementia and frail elderly persons for their own benefit, or so to provide relief for the family or carer. The Centre provides a comfortable and homely environment where the clients are safe and secure under the care of the highly trained staff. The staff organise numerous outings, entertainment and group events specific to their clients. On arrival they receive tea and toast, a three course meal is served at lunch-time and afternoon tea and cakes served before returning home.

Constitutional objectives

4.1 to protect and preserve the good health, both physical and mental of elderly people in the Linlithgow area. and 4.2 to provide a day care centre for the older people of Linlithgow and District and to provide relief for their carers. and 4.3 to provide a meeting place for group and individuals within the Linlithgow and district community. and 4.4 to work with organisations who have an interest in similar objectives.
