What the charity exists to do
The charity helps to promote and carry out research with the aim to prevent cardiovascular diseases. This is done by organising an annual event to bring together interested parties to share experiences, research and promote research. We also provide funding for research projects.

Constitutional objectives
The object of the Group is:- To promote the concept of prevention of cardiovascular diseases, in primary care, in hospital and in the community and in furtherance thereof but not otherwise: (a) To bring together in conference representatives of voluntary organisations, government departments, statutory authorities and individuals (both medical and paramedical), (b) To promote and carry out research, surveys and investigations and publicise the useful results thereof. (c) To assist in the organisation of exhibitions, meetings, lectures, classes, seminars and training courses and other educational activities. (d) To collect and disseminate information on cardiovascular disorders by appropriate means. (e) To undertake, execute, manage or assist any charitable trust which may lawfully be undertaken, executed, managed or assisted by the Organisation. (f) To provide appropriate accommodation necessary for the work of the Organisation. (g) To raise money for the functions of the Organisation and accept gifts. (h) To invest the monies of the Organisation not immediately required for the said object in such investments, securities or property as may be thought fit, subject nevertheless to such conditions as may for the time being be imposed or required by law. (i) To do all such other lawful things as are necessary for the attainment of the object of the Organisation.
