02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Southend Church is part of the Church of Scotland and it exists to glorify God and to work for the advancement of religion. We cooperate with other Churches in various ecumenical bodies in Scotland and beyond through our Minister and provide a regular service of worship every Sunday morning. Southend Church also holds various other services in the course of the year including Weddings, Funerals and Christenings. we also run a Guild, Bible Study and other ad hoc events. We also hold regular fund raising events for both the Church itself and other charities.
